The A2A3 Design Challenge

Lagos got powers. Terms

The short version: it's free, your design stays yours, judges decide the cash prizes, and if we ever use your design we pay you first. The full terms are below.

1. Organiser. Lagos Got Powers is run by A2A3 (a2a3.co). Questions: DM @a2a3.co on Instagram.
2. Dates. Entries open Thursday 15 October 2026 and close Monday 19 October 2026 at 8pm WAT. Late entries are not accepted.
3. Who can enter. Individuals aged 18 or over who are based in Nigeria. Entry is free. One entry per person.
4. How to enter. Submit one PDF (flat artwork and a mock-up) as a Google Drive or Dropbox link set to "Anyone with the link", together with the requested details, through the official entry form. Entries sent any other way are not accepted. Posting your design on social media is optional and never affects judging.
5. Original work. Your entry must be your own original work, using artwork, photos and type you made or have the right to use. You must tell us on the form if you used AI anywhere. A2A3 may disqualify entries that are copied, infringe anyone's rights, are incomplete, or break these terms.
6. You keep your copyright. Entering does not transfer any rights in your design to A2A3.
7. Showing entries. If you give permission on the form, A2A3 may show your entry, with credit, in posts about this competition. This is not permission to produce or sell your design.
8. Prizes. 1st place ₦200,000. 2nd place ₦75,000. 3rd place ₦50,000. Community Favourite (the shortlisted entry with the most likes on its A2A3 shortlist post by Friday 23 October 2026, 12pm WAT): an A2A3 piece and a feature, no cash. Cash prizes are decided by A2A3's judges only.
9. The winning design. The 1st-place prize includes a licence for A2A3 to produce and sell the winning design as one T-shirt release, with designer credit and one refinement round. Other garments, reprints beyond the agreed run, or additional designs are agreed and paid for separately.
10. Non-winning designs. If A2A3 wants to use any non-winning entry, it will agree a fee (minimum ₦100,000) and a licence with the designer, and pay before any use.
11. Judging. Entries are scored on originality (35%), brand fit (30%), wearability (25%) and production (10%). Sharing, likes or engagement never affect the cash prizes. Ties are decided on originality. The judges' decision is final.
12. Winners and payment. Winners are contacted by email or WhatsApp and must reply within 72 hours, or the prize may be offered to the next-placed entry. Prizes are paid by bank transfer in naira within 7 working days of the licence being signed (1st place) or the winner confirming their details (other places).
13. Key dates. Shortlist: Wednesday 21 October 2026. Winners announced: Friday 23 October 2026. A2A3 may change these dates if needed and will announce any change on @a2a3.co.
14. Your details. The personal details you give are used only to run this competition and to contact you about it, and are not shared or sold.
15. Instagram. This competition is not sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Instagram or Meta.
